Applying my knowledge and experience, mixed with a personal mission to relieve my own sleep-disordered breathing problems, I've been pioneering the use of new minimally-invasive snoring treatments since their approval by the FDA. I've been teaching specialists in the USA and Canada how to successfully perform the Pillar®Procedure since 2006.
As a head & neck surgeon, also known as an otolaryngologist or ear, nose & throat (ENT) specialist, I have had highly-focused training in the following areas:
- resolving both nasal and oral airway issues
- remedying a wide range of nasal conditions negatively impacting breathing and/or smell
- reconstructing the nose from the inside out, to ensure optimum form and function
I have participated in clinical trials with some of the snoring device manufacturers and am passionate about keeping up with the newest alternatives for snoring relief because I know that a complete cure is still elusive for most snoring sufferers.
After completing my otolaryngology-head & neck surgery fellowship training and board certification, I then went on to complete a second fellowship training and board certification in the related area of facial plastic & reconstructive surgery. The treatment of snoring combines the airway management in head & neck surgery and the lifestyle approach of facial plastic surgery, making this an important focus in my medical practice.
