    We snore because of the vibration caused in narrowed or constricted airways during sleep. This vibration is what causes the snoring sound that is so annoying to your bed partner and so disruptive to good sleep for both of you.  

    Most commonly, the snoring originates as constriction or obstruction and vibration in the oral airway—mouth or throat. Other times, the snoring originates as blockage in the nasal airway. Sometimes, both nasal and oral airway obstructions together contribute to snoring.
